MOVING INFORMATION
Staff relocating from Shands AGH
Employees moving from AGH to Shands UF or South Campus will get a new telephone number. Your phone number will *not* move with you. If you have a voice mailbox at Shands AGH, it will be turned off. Once you have relocated, you can request a new voice mailbox via a CHRIS work order.
Each main, departmental number at AGH will be forwarded to a disconnect message indicating the new number. For departments that have not provided a referral number, the main hospital number 352-265-0111 will be announced to the caller.
All non-departmental AGH extensions will be disconnected upon closing of the facility on November 1, 2009.
Staff relocating from Shands UF
All main department numbers will remain at their current, physical location. The phones will not be disconnected or relocated to another physical area.
For example, the SUF Unit 52 area (main number 265-0052 & associated fax lines, etc.) will be vacated but dialtone will remain. The new occupants of that space will simply move in to that area and use those existing phones and phone numbers.
If you are moving within the existing UF main hospital, you will leave your telephone, phone number and voice mailbox for the person taking over that location. For example, an employee working on the 4th floor in room 4834 (ext. 12345) is moving to the 7th floor room 7817 (currently ext. 98765). The employee's new extension is 98765; the old extension, 12345, will belong to the person moving into room 4834.
Updating CHRIS Information
As soon as you move, you will need to go into CHRIS and update your CHRIS Interview with your new office location (building, floor and room) and new phone numbers (main department number, fax and personal extension). The phone directory and location information will be critical for people trying to locate you after the move.
If there is voice mail at your new location, please place a CHRIS work order for the voice mailbox to be reset.
